Fees & Funding
Opening hours:
Greystones Preschool is open on Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm.
Children may access the setting either for a full day or for a morning or afternoon session. We also run a breakfast club from 8.00 am.
Full day: 9.00 am to 3.00 pm
Morning session: 9.00 am to 11.30 am
Afternoon session 12.30 pm to 3.00 pm
Preschool Fees;
Our hourly rate is £7.00 meaning that a morning or afternoon session costs £17.50 and a full day costs £42.00
Invoices are sent out at the beginning of each half term, with payment due within 2 weeks.
2 year FEL:
Depending on your household’s finances, your child may be eligible for Funded Early Learning hours from age 2 (Details below).
Funded Early Learning Hours (FEL):
All children that live in the UK are entitled to 15 hours’ Funded Early Learning per week. This funding is available the term after your child’s third birthday.
In order for the setting to access this funding on your behalf, you must complete a Parent/Carer agreement form, along with a termly pattern of attendance form (document below). We will also need to see your child’s birth certificate and proof of address.
30 hours (EFE):
Users of 3/4 year old FEL may be entitled to a further 15 funded hours (EFE); this is based upon household income and the number of hours parents work per week. In order to see if you qualify for the additional funding please telephone the HMRC on 0300 123 4097
If you qualify the HMRC will give you a 30 hours code. Preschool will need this code to access the additional funding from the local authority.
Additional Service Charge:
Unfortunately the early years sector is underfunded by the government and therefore the hourly rate of £4.59 for the funded hours does not cover the costs of running an early years setting.
Please note therefore that we have an additional service charge for consumable items. This amount is charged to those families that use the FEL or EFE to pay for their child’s hours. The additional service charge does not apply to those parents who pay fees.
Our Additional Service Charge is currently £1.60 per hour, equating to the following amounts:-
Morning session - £4.00
Afternoon session - £4.00
All day - £9.60.
Payment:
Payment can be made by bank transfer, childcare vouchers and by the government tax free scheme.
