Safeguarding

At Greystones Preschool we take the role of safeguarding the children in our care very seriously.

Children learn best when they are healthy, safe and secure, when their individual needs are met, and when they have positive relationships with the adults caring for them. As a setting we aim to provide a welcoming, safe and stimulating environment, where children are able to enjoy learning and grow in confidence.

The EYFS Safeguarding and Welfare requirements state that all early years providers must safeguard children; ensure the suitability of adults who have contact with children; promote good health; manage behaviour; and maintain records, policies and procedures.

The members of our safeguarding team are as follows:

 - Designated Safeguarding Lead: Julie Benson

 - Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead: Danielle Whitehead

 - Trustee Safeguarding Officer – Claire Kirby

All other members of the staff team are fully trained in Safeguarding and Prevent and are aware of the signs and symptoms of abuse and the procedures they must follow in the setting if they feel that a child is at risk of abuse or significant harm.

In the event that you have any safeguarding concerns, please feel free to speak to either Julie or Danielle. We will take them extremely seriously, act upon the information you have given us and keep you updated on how we are dealing with your concerns.

If for any reason you feel that there is still cause for concern, you can contact the Sheffield Safeguarding Partnership directly
